Project Launch (PL) is an education-based non-profit organization. Created in 2012, PL serves the communities of Deer Isle, Stonington and the Blue Hill Peninsula. An original model, our mission is to:

“Provide support to local students and families to help them make a successful transition from high school to post-secondary learning and opportunities.”

"The apprenticeship at Yellow Birch Farm was one of our best high school experiences! Especially the hands-on learning about small-scale organic farming, best sustainable business practices and how to promote and market farm-made products. We also loved caring for and feeding the baby goats! Our hosts, Eric & Missy, went above and beyond to make sure that we had interesting things to do and learn. We are very grateful that we had this opportunity!"
