Project Launch (PL) is an education-based nonprofit organization established in 2012. Our mission is to support local students and
their families to make a successful transition from high school to meaningful post-secondary learning and opportunities. PL works in partnership with the Deer Isle-Stonington High School (DISHS) guidance program and to date, over 185 students have enrolled in
our program. PL support begins in high school and encompasses a multitude of post-secondary readiness and transition opportunities including: apprenticeship, employment, college, workforce, service opportunities and training programs. PL is free and open to current students and recent graduates. If you have a dream for life after high school, we can help make it happen!

"I hope to be the first one in my family to graduate with a college degree.
Being part of Project Launch made me believe that I could actually succeed
in college. I know that the program will be there for me so I won't have
to figure it all out by myself. I'm really excited to go to college,
meet new people and learn a lot of new stuff."
